The Twins have clinched the division with a win over the Cleveland Indians and a little help from the Athletics. Congratulations on being the most consistent team in Minnesota! Except for the Timberwolves, who have an affinity for being horrendous

Minnesota Sports is Back in Full Gear

The Minnesota Vikings are going to begin a new season hoping to forget the heart breaking loss to the New Orleans Saints. With Brett Favre back and most of the starters (with the exception of Sidney Rice) the Vikings appear to be very strong contenders for another divisional title and hopefully a Super Bowl run.
But one of the biggest things that stands in the Viking's way is the insanely difficult schedule.

Minnesota Twins are making the final run into a hopefully long October. The Twins, in their traditionally solid style, have put together a pretty exceptionally season, made even more awesome because they did most of it without the services of former MVP 1B Justin Morneau.

Joe Mauer Finally Inks contract!!

Under constant scrutiny from the local media, the Minnesota Twins organization has inked the franchise catcher, Joe Mauer to an 8-year, 184 million dollar contract. How this will affect the Twins for years to come, who knows? But so far the contract figures to take up about 25% of the total budget.
