Building on Favre's Legend; Lewis's too.

I was in my seat roaring, as was everyone at the Metrodome was, when soon to be 40 - year old Brett Favre snapped off a sharp pass with time expiring to newly minted Viking Greg Lewis. It seems vintage Favre takes over at clutch moments of any game. While Favre may have used every ounce of energy left in those fading legs, aging arm, and battered body, it was Greg Lewis who came in during the most unique situation.

Greg Lewis, the ex-Patriot and ex-Eagle reciever, was signed right before the beginning of the season after a peculiar move by the Vikings, releasing leading wide reciever Bobby Wade to make room for Lewis. Lewis was part of Childress's offense during the heyday of the Philadelphian offensive juggernaut. However, the only reason that Lewis was able to get on the field during the last play was because rookie reciever Percy Harvin was absolutely gassed, giving Greg Lewis his window.

And boy did he take advantage of it.
